Barny & Rigoni Limoges Porcelains     b14

BARNY and RIGONI established a porcelain factory in Limoges about 1894. In 1902 they were joined by J. Redon, and the name of the more famous father M. Redon was added to the mark.

This partnership lasted only until 1904, when Redon was replaced by Langle. The mark was BR&L for porcelain and Barny, Rigoni & Langle for decoration.

In 1906 this partnership ended, and the new owners operated as La Porcelaine Limousine. They discontinued Barny & Rigoni marks, but they did use the M. Redon mark. The marks are fairly rare.

Mark B14b: Presumably a decorating mark for 1894-1902.

Barny & Rigoni sold whiteware and did apparently high quality decoration. They probably did not make Limoges boxes.
